Belgium's King Philippe and Queen Mathilde will make an official visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo next month, the Royal Palace announced on Wednesday.
The visit, at the invitation of Congolese President Félix Tshisekedi, will take place from Sunday 6 March to Thursday 10 March. The Belgian Royals will be accompanied by Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, Foreign Affairs Minister Sophie Wilmès and Development Cooperation Minister Meryame Kitir.
The last time Belgium's King travelled to Congo was 12 years ago, when then-King Albert and Queen Paola went to Kinshasa for the celebrations of the country's 50 years of independence.
