The weather will remain sunny on Sunday afternoon and throughout the coming week in Belgium, according to the Royal Meteorological Institute, IRM.
Highs will be between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius in the Ardennes, and up to 20 degrees in other parts of the country, IRM announced in its Sunday midday weather report.
The skies will continue to be clear on Sunday evening and overnight, although high-altitude clouds will continue over the eastern half of the country and increasingly in the west. Lows will drop to between 1 and 4 degrees in the Ardennes, with some valleys there even reaching 0 degrees. Minimum temperatures of 4 to 7 degrees are to be expected in lowland areas.
On Easter Monday, the sun will be gradually covered by clouds, which may thicken by late afternoon, especially in the west, but the weather will remain dry. Highs will range between 14 degrees in the Ardennes and 19- 20 degrees in other parts of the country.
On Tuesday, medium- and high-altitude clouds will be present over most of Belgium. More cumulus clouds may appear as the day progresses, but the weather will remain dry, except for a few light isolated showers. The chances of rainfall will be a bit higher in areas close to France.
From Wednesday to Friday, the IRM forecasts sunny periods alternating with light clouds, while the weather will be generally dry. Highs will be close to 16 or 17 degrees in the centre of the country.
