According to a pilot project conducted by teacher trainer Jan Schoenmakers with his students, teachers who outsource their corrections save 15% to 25% of their working time.
According to Het Belang van Limburg, Koen Pellerieaux, the leader of Flemish educational organisers GO! Education has consequently recommended that corrections be outsourced in order to address the current teacher shortage.
It was also estimated that one or two additional hours of teaching would be enough to solve the shortage. By delegating some teaching tasks, (such as correcting homework) to outsources, teachers would be able to spend more time in front of the class.
