Parole conditions of accomplice of Belgian serial killer Dutroux to be lifted

Michelle Martin, the ex-wife and accomplice of the Belgian infamous convicted serial killer Marc Dutroux, will be fully released on Friday, according to the father of one of Dutroux's victims.

On Tuesday evening, An Marchal's father, Paul Marchal, posted a message on Facebook, indicating that Michelle Martin would be freed from her parole restrictions on Friday.

He also disclosed that his family learned about the news through a letter from the Justice Department.

Martin was arrested in 1996 and sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2004 for her role in her ex-husband's atrocities for which he was sentenced to life in prison for kidnapping, torture, rape, and murder.

She did, however, benefit from an early release under conditions in August 2012, which will now be lifted 10 years later.
