Those hoping for a sunny weekend will be disappointed by Belgium's Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI) forecast for more showers and thunderstorms, albeit with sunnier spells on Sunday.
On Friday, skies will be overcast with showers passing over the country from the coast. These will come with occasional thunderstorms. Temperatures will vary between 14°C in the Ardennes and up to 19°C elsewhere in the country, with strong winds from the southwest.
Saturday will see banks of clouds pass followed by sunnier spells, especially in the afternoon. However, rain is still expected across Belgium and throughout the day. Temperatures will vary between 15 or 16°C in the Hautes Fagnes and up to 21°C in certain parts of the country.
