On the sidelines of Mobility Week, Belgium’s railway utility, the SNCB, has decided to offer a one-month, home-work subscription at a reduced price to new subscribers and travellers who have not activated their subscriptions for at least six months.
This is “the opportunity to test or rediscover a new mode of transport,” the SNCB said on Wednesday in a press release.
The trial subscription, offered at half price, can be combined with an STIB/TEC/De Lijn or parking supplement, but the reduction will apply only to the train segment.
The discount is valid for one month for a Standard or Unlimited subscription. Customers who already have a home-work season ticket will not be left out: the SNCB will offer them a return ticket valid anywhere in Belgium.
This Gift Ticket will be nominative but not necessarily in the subscriber’s name.
The reduced-rate trial subscription or Gift Ticket can be requested on the SNCB website until 31 October inclusive and must be activated no later than 30 November 2022.
