The Luxembourg airline Luxair will start operating flights from Antwerp to London again following a two-year break in commercial air services to the English capital.
From mid-January, Luxair will fly the very short distance to London four times a week. A fifth flight (on Wednesdays) will be added in March, Antwerp Airport announced in a press release on Thursday. The flight time is about one hour.
"We want to offer tourists and business travellers a tailor-made flight programme. Connecting to London was a priority," said CEO of Antwerp Airport Eric Dumas. "It is an iconic route because we have had a fast connection to and from the UK for more than 25 years."

In recent years, Air Antwerp, VLM and CityJet also tried to introduce similar commercial flights to London, but they were all discontinued.
Tickets can be bought on Luxair's website, from €149 return.
