A 16-year-old boy died of his wounds after being stabbed in the Antwerp district of Berchem on Wednesday morning, local police said.
The incident took place at around 07:30. Witnesses said that they saw a group of young people following the victim. They then alerted the police. The perpetrator of the attacks has still not been found.
The victim was initially in a serious condition, before later dying of his wounds, authorities say.

An investigation to determine the identity of the attacker and the circumstances behind the incident are currently underway. A Federal Police crime lab is currently on the scene of the crime.
