According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the Ukrainian state received €30 billion in foreign aid last year as a result of Russia's war in the country. The United States contributed the Ukrainian economy, as their contribution represented 40% of the total aid, followed by the European Union, which contributed slightly less than 25%.
On Friday evening, the National Bank of Ukraine unveiled how much foreign aid they had received in 2022 as they combat Russian troops who have been attempted to invade the country since March of last year.
Their figures indicated that they had benefited from over €30 billion in aid and loans from abroad, of which the majority came from the United States. Indeed, of the total amount, 40% came from the latter, with just under 25% from the EU and 8% from the IMF.

This represents around 16% of the Ukrainian GDP, which had collapsed by 30% since the onset of the war, according to the country’s Ministry of Economy.
