The bicycle courier who was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Schaerbeek on Thursday has died, Belga News Agency has reported.
The courier was hit by a Flixbus at the intersection of Boulevard Roi Albert II and Place Solvay (near Brussels North Station) at around 16:30. After being freed from under the bus's wheels by the Belgian fire brigade, the courier was taken to a local hospital, where he died on Thursday night.
"The investigation is still ongoing, but according to the initial findings, it was probably an accident caused by a blind spot," the police confirmed to BRUZZ and Belga News Agency.
