The European Summit will be held in Brussels on 23 and 24 March and is set to cause disruption in the City Centre on those days. Security perimeters were set up concerning the Rond-point Schuman, Rue Froissart from 101 to 143 and Rue de la Roi between the Rond-Point Schuman and the Residence Palace.

The disruptions will affect public transport in Brussels, parking, public transportation and the residential area within the security perimeter.

Only residents will be allowed within the perimeter and must carry their ID cards and passes with them.

Rubbish bags, bicycles and terraces will not be allowed to remain on the sidewalks within the perimeter during this time and windows must remain shut.

Traffic can be expected on Rue Archimède, Avenue de Cortenbergh (limited access when escorts pass), Rue de la Loi and Avenue d'Auderghem. No surface parking is allowed on these streets.

As for public transport, Schuman metro station will remain open. However, bus lines 12, 21, 36, 56, 60 and 79 will serve Maelbeek station instead of Schuman station. Bus lines 27, 59 and 80 will be redirected around Place Jourdan.
