The Hallerbos forest in Flemish Brabant is expected to turn purple again in the second half of April with the flowering of the small purple hyacinths.
The 'Hyacinth Festival' attracts crowds of people every year who go to wander through the blue and purple forest.
The forest, located just to the south of Brussels in Flemish Brabant, is famed for its bluebells that attract thousands of visitors from around the world every year.
To manage the influx of visitors, the Agency for Nature and Forests deploys several dozen volunteers every year. However, due to the increasing popularity, the agency is looking for extra helping hands this year to help people find the most beautiful spots, help lost hikers get back on the right path, and keep an eye out to ensure visitors stay on the footpaths.
