This April, the Easter Bunny is not just bringing delicious chocolates for children. Belgium, recognised across the world for its beloved chocolatiers, is the place to be during this time of year for people of all ages looking for that perfect Easter treat.

But the abundance of Belgian brands and their extensive selections can make it difficult to decide what to pick. To help you navigate your way through this treasure trove of chocolate goodness, we've made a list of our favourites.

Elisabeth: A feast for the eyes

Elisabeth is one of Belgium's most unique chocolate brands. Its Easter collection stays true to the company's focus on artisanal, quality products, but with a cheerful twist.

When casting an eye at this selection, it is impossible not to marvel at the colourful packaging adorned with traditional and nostalgic drawings of Easter scenes.

If you're torn between buying a chocolate bunny and Easter eggs, then the Easter Party Box is recommended, which contains both. The eggs are filled with mouth-watering combinations of crunchy feuilletine white chocolate and almond nougatine fondant (the range's bestseller), while the chocolate bunnies have a centre of crunchy praliné.

For the real old-school experience, Easter Joy is recommended, as it is a hard-covered easter egg with Peter Rabbit-inspired drawings filled with several treats, including a guimauve bunny, an artisanal chocolate egg, and a chocolate duck filled with praliné.

Find the Easter selection in Elisabeth's stores located in Antwerp, Bruges and Brussels or get your treats in the online shop.

Galler: Responsible Easter

For chocolate lovers, Easter is usually associated with egg hunting. However, this year, Easter at Chocolaterie Galler is all about transparency. With its range, the chocolate company from Liège is showcasing that it is dedicated to selling planet-friendly chocolate.

From its palm-oil-free fillings to its chocolate made with fairtrade labelled cocoa beans, these eggs are made with top products, ensuring Easter is not only a fun but also a responsible celebration. The result is a selection of chocolate Easter eggs in 13 unique flavours.

The range includes traditional melt-in-the-mouth flavours such as milk praline and white Manon, but also more unexpected tastes, like milk coconut (think of a refined Bounty bar in an easter egg) and the dark pistacchio, combining the very best of winter and summer tastes.

Available at: Carrefour, Delhaize, Match&Smatch, Cora, Intermarché, Okay, Colruyt, Spar, Galler boutiques and online.

Neuhaus: Breaking tradition

The saying "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you'll get" never rang so true as with Neuhaus' Botanicals Limited Edition. And if life is anything like this box, things are looking pretty peachy. While this may not be the favourite among little ones, it definitely will be among adults.

On top of its more traditional Easter collection, Neuhaus has also launched a selection with a gourmet twist in collaboration with Belgian chef Gert De Mangeleer.

When opening Neuhaus' Easter box, you will be greeted by an explosion of eye-catching colours.

Every bite, meanwhile, is a burst of bold flavours. From the smooth Jasmin Green Tea, mimicking a walk through the botanical garden, to the spicy, golden-coloured Sea Buckthorn Cardamom. In other words, every egg is a new surprise with a vast range of flavours.

Find Neuhaus' traditional selection and limited edition collection online or in one of its many stores.

Godiva: Charlie the chocolate bunny

Godiva's Easter Collection will not only tantalise taste buds, but it is also sure to bring a big smile to people's faces, as this year's range has an extra special (and pretty cute) pièce de resistance: Charlie, the Easter Bunny Chocolate Figure, made entirely from the company's signature creamy Belgian chocolate.

This cheeky little chocolate rabbit — destined to become an Easter icon — is the perfect centrepiece for any Easter brunch. Especially for the little ones, Godiva's collection also includes a fluffy Easter bunny holding eight chocolate Easter eggs between his fluffy paws.

Godiva's latest edition to the Easter Collection is Charlie the Chocolate Bunny

Godiva's Easter Collection also includes many treats for adults, including delicious colourfully wrapped egg-shaped chocolates in a variety of flavours, including our favourites: speculoos and fruity raspberry ganache-filled treats, true bursts of indulgence.

Buy your sweet treats in Godiva's stores or online.

Pierre Marcolini: Unbeatable classics, reimagined

Last, but definitely not least, is the Pierre Marcolini Easter collection. The country's master of chocolate has created a new generation of chocolate eggs, which literally have an edge, as their shape is not entirely round, but is flattened around the edges.

This contemporary form allows chocolate lovers to look right into the egg's core to discover the delectable combinations of fillings, from almond and white sesame nougatine to Dentelle de Quimper biscuit with pistacchio pieces and sunflower seeds.

However, what really makes this Easter collection stand out is the kit to make a water lily out of dark and milk chocolate. Placed on a hazelnut praline milk chocolate base, this challenges sweet tooths to assemble this work of food art before enjoying it.

Find this unique Easter selection in Pierre Marcolini's stores in Belgium and abroad or online.
