With school holidays already underway in Flanders, those in the French-speaking regions will have the benefit of less competition when it comes to vacation offers for the period April 29 to May 14.
"The period from April 29 to May 14 is a very interesting one for offers," Christophe Depreter, Secretary General of the Professional Union of Travel Agencies, UPAV, told RTBF. "Many more hotels open their season in May, which is not necessarily true in April. The range of offers is therefore much wider, with more attractions and possibilities."
The new period is also interesting when it comes to price, with demand playing a lead role. As French-speaking Belgians will be practically the only Europeans on holiday in May, there are many good deals.
