The Lotto Brussels Jazz Weekend will take place in the Belgian capital from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 May.

For its sixth edition, the event will transform Brussels into a musical labyrinth, featuring more than 150 concerts across five squares.

Each stage will have its own musical identity, the organisers reported on Thursday.

The Grand Place will offer a contemporary mix of Belgian jazz masters and emerging international artists, including NABOU, Aka Moon, Naima Joris, the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Fergus Mccreadie and Leon Phal.

The Place Sainte-Catherine, meanwhile, will be dedicated to fans of blues, swing, exotic jazz or ‘dixieland.’

A stage set up at the Bourse, on Boulevard Anspach, will allow people to discover a new generation of musicians.

The urban festival will also feature a stage at Place de la Chapelle and a new one at the Old Corn Exchange, in collaboration with the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel (KCB) and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (CRB).

In addition, exclusive jams and concerts will take place in more than 20 Brussels cafés and night clubs.
