Bicycles worth tens of thousands of euros have been stolen from a bike shop in Flanders, Belga News Agency reports.
The theft, which took place in the city of Herentals in the Antwerp province early on Friday morning, involved the seizure of three racing bikes and four electric mountain bikes.
"On the surveillance images, we can see that at around 03:30, a white van passes the [shop] window equipped with metal security bars," explained local police commissioner Dirk Van Peer. "Then two men enter the store. They take seven bicycles and load them into the vehicle with the help of a third person. They only stayed inside for a few minutes."

One of the shop's windows, as well as a dozen or so bicycles, were also vandalised during the robbery. One insurer informed Belga News Agency that "the damage to the shop window may even be greater than the damage to the bicycles."
All of the stolen bikes were insured against theft.
