The column of smoke that could be seen in Brussels on Friday came from a house that had caught fire.
The Brussels Fire Brigade arrived at the scene at 13:45 and has since gotten the flames under control.
The building, however, has received considerable damage. No casualties have been reported.
The fire interrupted tram traffic on Avenue de la Reine. That could resume soon, the fire brigade still said. "The tram on Avenue de la Reine will resume shortly," the fire brigade announced.
