Proximus' mobile network is "experiencing problems" on Thursday morning, the telecom operator confirmed. "Some customers are unable to make calls, send SMS or use data."
The site Allestoringen, which shares detections of malfunctions and problems in real-time, had reported outages just before 08:00 with the number of reports reaching 1,300 by 08:30.
"The technical teams are working at full speed to solve it as soon as possible," Proximus said on social media.
Responding to user questions on Twitter, Proximus customer service said there were problems with the Anderlecht and Bruges transmission towers. Users are further affected by the outage in the European district, Oudenaarde and Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe, among others.
