Rail traffic was restored between Mons and La Louvière-Sud on Tuesday morning after disruption caused by cable thieves, Infrabel announced.

An important cable on the lines was cut and taken away by the thieves late on Monday evening. This vandalism caused significant delays on the line.

Infrabel technical teams report that they were able to fix the problem faster than previously thought and trains started to run safely again from 08:15.
