Belgian brewers will be celebrating twice in September, starting with the 23rd Belgian Beer Weekend, to be held from 1 to 3 September on the Grand-Place.
Admission to the site is free, and the 49 brewers on hand will be offering the general public a chance to sample some of the 400 beers on the menu, served in 15cl tasting glasses.
The end of summer 2023 also marks a major achievement for the hundred or so brewers involved in another project: the inauguration on Saturday 9 September of Belgian Beer World at the Brussels Stock Exchange.
For more than ten years, the brewers and the City have been talking about this "temple of beer" in the Stock Exchange. Now it's a reality.

The Belgian Beer World website highlights some of the key features of this 12,000-square-metre interactive experience. The historical aspect will, of course, be covered, particularly through unusual stories.
The brewing process will be explained in detail, with multi-sensory workshops to give visitors the chance to experience the multitude of aromas and flavours in beer.
Exported to the four corners of the Earth, Belgian beer and its influence around the world will form another chapter.
At the end of this "authentic, high-tech" experience, visitors can head to the large rooftop bar to sample some of the beers.
The design of Belgian Beer World required a budget of €10 million.
