Beliris, the cooperation body between the Federal and Regional Government for construction, renovation and heritage restoration projects in the capital, will be celebrating its 30th anniversary on 7 and 8 October.
Concerts, entertainment, games and sporting activities of all kinds will liven up the six zones (Canal, Centre, Couronne, Josaphat, Jourdan, Heyvaert) surrounding its key projects for the occasion, the institution announced in a press release on Thursday.
There will be a murder mystery party in the form of a treasure hunt at the Neptunium swimming pool in Schaerbeek and a concert at the one in Ixelles. People will be able to try tightrope walking at the Grande Halle in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, participate in a football tournament at the Allée du Kaai park in Brussels City, and blow giant soap bubbles at Place Jourdan in Etterbeek.
Since its creation, Beliris has undertaken hundreds of large-scale projects, representing a total investment of €2.6 billion, in a variety of fields: mobility, social housing, green spaces, neighbourhood regeneration, culture, heritage, sport, among others.
