After a sunny and warm Sunday, the Indian summer continues in Belgium, peaking on Monday.
While it is already October, the temperatures in Belgium indicate otherwise. After a sunny Saturday, Sunday will largely be clear with temperatures between 19°C in the Ardennes and 24°C in the centre of the country, according to the Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI).
Overnight, more high clouds will gradually appear from the west, but minima will remain between 7 and 15°C.
Belgium will see the peak of this Indian summer on Monday, then temperatures are expected to reach 25°C. The sun will often be veiled by high clouds, but overall, blue skies will be seen across the country.
This warmth so late on in the year is not unusual. In 2022, temperatures were still nearing 22°C as late as the end of October.

On Tuesday there will be a slight dip in the summery conditions, as an Atlantic disturbance passes over the country. Light rain showers accompanied by more wind and temperatures up to 20°C are predicted. Gusts of 60 km/h are possible.
After that, RMI noted, a new high-pressure area will take over for the second part of the week, resulting in drier and calmer conditions on Wednesday. Maximum temperatures will be around 20°C in the centre of Belgium.
