Some train station screens in Belgium are not displaying correct information on Monday morning.
SNCB is advising passengers to use the application or website to plan their journey.
"For example, the screens are announcing delays that don’t exist," explains SNCB spokesman Dimitri Temmerman.
"Passengers therefore have to use the app or the website, where they can find the right information. We are doing everything we can to solve this problem."
The correct information is gradually returning to the screen and the railway expects the problem to be resolved by the end-of-day rush hours.
An update to a planning application at Infrabel did not go as planned, with consequences for the real-time information that customers of the rail network operator, such as SNCB, receive.
The problem in question has been resolved, but a whole series of erroneous data has accumulated virtually. "We're talking about 20,000 messages that still need to be rectified. This is taking time", commented an Infrabel spokesperson.
