Telecom provider Proximus is again raising its prices for various subscriptions from 1 January 2024, pointing to inflation continuing to put pressure on costs. Prices last increased as recently as in July.
Just as in July, Proximus is once again raising the price of its popular Flex packs (which bundle internet, television and a mobile subscription), again by €3 a month. In exchange, customers will receive extra mobile data.
Stand-alone internet subscriptions will become €2 to €3 more expensive, depending on the product. The most expensive subscription, called Maxi Fiber, will have a higher speed.
Unlike in July, however, Proximus is also raising the price of the cheapest entry-level fixed internet subscription called Internet Essential – going from €25 to €28 per month. The operator did point out that due to new legislation taking effect in March, a larger group of customers will be allowed to subscribe to a basic offer at the social rate of €19.
Television options are also becoming more expensive: the Pickx Mix bundle, which includes several extra channels and a catalogue of programmes on demand, will cost €12.99/month (instead of €10.99) from 1 January. The Pickx Sports option, which includes Belgian football, will go from €16.99 to €18.99.
