Police found two kilograms of cannabis, phones and a sum of cash in a vehicle near Ciney (Namur province) on Sunday, the Namur Public Prosecutor's office revealed.
"Police discovered two kilograms of cannabis, four mobile phones and €200 in cash in a randomly checked vehicle at around 15:00 on Sunday afternoon, near the E411 motorway rest area of La Salazine, close to Ciney, in the direction of Luxembourg."
The car, registered in Luxembourg, was carrying three individuals. Police officers pulled them over due to their erratic driving and repeated overtaking of an unmarked police vehicle.
The Namur Public Prosecutor suspects that the individuals were carrying out a drug trafficking operation. All three individuals are expected to come before an investigative judge.
