Eurostar cancelled all of its train services to and from London on Saturday, affecting 41 trains in total and leaving hundreds of passengers stranded at Brussels-Midi station.
"Due to the flooding of a tunnel on the high-speed line near London, we're having to cancel all our trains on our route to/from London on Saturday 30 December," Eurostar wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday afternoon.

Passengers were also advised not to go to the station unless they hold a ticket that has already been exchanged for an operating train.
Traditionally, the end of the year is one of Eurostar's busiest periods. As such, a significant number of passengers are impacted by these cancellations: in addition to the hundreds of passengers stuck at Brussels-Midi, more than a thousand people were reportedly left stranded at London's St Pancras station.
