Cemetery walks, various locations
While some may find it morbid, the capital's cemeteries offer the perfect backdrop for a scenic Halloween stroll.
These unusual trails are perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful moment of contemplation or appreciating the history and art of the city's burial grounds.
This year, public transport routes will be diverted and extended to make trips to Brussels' cemeteries easier on All Saint's Day.

Scary films screenings, Cineflagey, 31 October
Seasonal thrill-seeking doesn't have to be hard work; it can even be done from the comfort of a cinema chair! Cineflagey has lined up three vintage horror films to celebrate the scariest day of the year.
For family-friendly horror, The Witches (1990) is a must. Roald Dahl's classic tells the story of young Luke, who finds himself in a peculiar situation when he accidentally stumbles into a witch convention.
Stephen King's Carrie (1976) and Christine (1983) promise to enthral lovers of the supernatural. Carrie follows the deadly consequences of a young woman's unique powers whilst Christine explores a teenage boy's toxic obsession with a possessed car.
Whether you are into prom adventures that end in bloodbaths, magical creatures, or obsessions with vehicles, you can find your Halloween on the big screen.

Día de muertos, Marolles, until 2 November
If you're into storytelling, music or art workshops, the Marolles neighbourhood is the place to be. Since 2018, the central Brussels district has been the heart of día de los muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrations, the holiday dedicated to remembering those who are no longer with us.
As in previous years, the programme concludes with a concert and procession which promises to bring thousands of locals to the streets.

One of the largest horror festivals in the Benelux is back! In addition to film screenings, the festival will welcome visitors to delve into podcasts, lectures, and exhibitions about the chilling world of horror pop culture.

Night Quintet: A Horror Rock Musical, Marni Theater, 31 October and 1 November
The New Musical Company presents the 'Night Quintet', a musical thriller in which five strangers wake up trapped in a room with no clue how they got there. Tensions rise as they try to escape and dark stories about each character are revealed.
The horror-rock musical promises a unique story with "chilling melodies, heart-stopping suspense, and unexpected twists."

Halloween Rave, Hangar, 31 October and 1 November
What better way to celebrate Halloween than with a two-day indoor rave? Following the success of the previous two editions, Hangar is back to welcome electronic music lovers with a Halloween edition of a warehouse rave.
Between 20:00 and 04:00 on Thursday and Friday, the venue just outside Brussels will welcome thousands of music enthusiasts. A little partying never killed anybody!

'Pumpkimania' celebrates all things pumpkin with sculptures, workshops, and pumpkin delicacies.
