The choice of restaurants in Brussels is almost overwhelming, and new establishments are opening their doors every month. Find some of our favourites below.
For any occasion
Lune Siamoise, Ixelles
Near Ixelles' Chatelain neighbourhood lies a cosy new restaurant that has swiftly become the place to be in Brussels for some traditional and beautifully presented Thai food.

On the menu, diners will find all the usual suspects, from your pad thais and tom soups to kangs and the unmissable somtam, Thailand's national dish par excellence. All dishes are cooked with love by chef Jiw, who long ran a restaurant on the outskirts of Bangkok.

La Stazione Alimentari, Uccle
La Stazione has brought a touch of Italy to the heart of Uccle. Both a grocery shop and a restaurant, this location allows foodies to stock up on Italian produce, grab a quick bite or sit down for the full feast at dinner, all in a relaxed setting.

The chefs at La Stazione specialise in preparing homemade Italian dishes. We recommend their signature dish, Pasta Burro e Alici – a simple yet divine pasta with butter and anchovies.

In the cosy location—with seating up front looking out on the bustling Saint-Gilles square and more tables at the back—chefs Charlotte and Charles serve delicious vegetarian and vegan home cooking. With a frequently changing menu, there's little reason not to make this a regular lunch spot.

Something special
Le Corbier, City of Brussels
This legendary restaurant just a stone's throw away from Sablon is not new to the Brussels food scene but has recently reopened with a fresh look. Considered by many as a Brussels institution, the establishment was recently reborn, adorned with velvet banquettes, atmospheric lighting and table settings exuding elegance and comfort.

What to expect? Epicurean cuisine with a focus on wood-fired grills as well as traditional Belgian dishes.

Ciccio x Matto, Ixelles
In December, Brussels' culinary scene was given two new restaurants for the price of one. Ciccio x Matto are two Italian establishments run by chefs Mario Olimpio and Giorgio Spatafora (the food masters behind Primo, also in Ixelles) and housed in a grand Brussels mansion.

Matto, on the first floor, offers a culinary journey in five stages. At Ciccio, in the basement, the atmosphere is more casual. Here, the kitchen is dedicated to pain'zas, original creations that reinvent traditional pizza with an artisan bread base.
Where? Chaussée de Vleurgat 52, 1050 Ixelles.
Open for dinner from Friday to Tuesday and lunch on Saturday and Sunday (Ciccio), for lunch and dinner from Wednesday to Saturday (Matto).
