Brussels Midi station was evacuated shortly after noon on Sunday following a bomb threat, according to the federal police.
The station was cleared to allow the federal railway police to search for a potential suspicious package, but nothing was found. Approximately 30 minutes later, the station was reopened to travellers.
Federalle railway police patrols arrived at the scene with explosive-sniffing dogs to detect any possible bomb-containing packages.
“A sweep was conducted, but nothing was discovered. It was a false alarm,” stated the federal police spokesperson.
The station was made accessible again by 13:30.
