The bottlenecks that developed at Brussels Airport after technical problems closed down security gates there have been resolved, an airport spokesperson said on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier in the day long queues had formed at passport checkpoints for non-Schengen passengers, prompting the national police to deploy an extra team to manage the flow of passengers.
However, according to the spokesperson, two e-gates were back in service just before 3.00 p.m., Belga News Agency reported.
By 4 PM, there were no more queues, the spokesperson said.
