Belgian supermarket chain Delhaize is recalling chicken chipolata from the market due to the presence of salmonella. It concerns the supermarket’s private label “Coq Ardenne” chicken chipolatas, Belga News Agency reports.
The decision was taken in consultation with the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain. The affected products were sold between 5 and 12 July, with batch numbers 485394, 485862 and 485598.
The sausages have been removed from the shelves and Delhaize urges customers to not consume the product but to return it to the supermarket, where they will receive a refund.
The other products of the same assortment can be consumed without risk, the chain assures.

Bad milk
Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn has also recalled a milk product due to the possible presence of bacillus cereus, a bacterium that can cause vomiting and diarrhoea and is especially a health hazard to vulnerable people. It concerns the AH Long-life semi-skimmed milk 6x200ml with the expiration date of 27 November 2022.
Albert Heijn asks its customers not to consume this product and to return it to the point of sale, where it will be replaced or refunded.
