Only one public service in the Brussels Region adheres to the integration standard of employing 2% of their staff with people suffering from a disability.
According to information requested by the CD&V MP for the Brussels Parliament Bianca Debaets, only the Brussels Government's Regional Public Service (the BRPS) has met this criteria, employing 30 disabled individuals out of a total of 1,481.
They are closely followed by urban.brussels, the SLRB housing society in Brussels, and Actiris, the state employment service, which do not exceed the 2% criteria but achieve 1.96% and 1.63%, respectively.
Falling well below the 2% target are Brussels Environment, with 0.33%, the business agency hub.brussels, with 0.39%, and Bruxelles Propreté, with 0.4%.

The regional recruiting service talent.brussels has stated that integrating individuals with disabilities into the capital's workforce remains a priority.
However, given that no sanctions are imposed on Brussels' public services if they do not meet the 2% target, this integration still has a long way to go.
