Flow open-air swimming pool welcomed 19,800 swimmers during the summer, according to officials at the sit located near the Pierre Marchant bridge in Anderlecht on Sunday. The swimming pool closes its summer season on Sunday with a mini festival.
The swimming pool opened its doors to the public on 1 July and was very due to the hot weather, as Brussels was hit with temperatures rising over 30°C several times.
Flow welcomed almost twice the number of swimmers compared to last year, making organisers determined to reopen the swimming pool next year.

"Flow is not a solution but a tool to show that Brussels needs an outdoor swimming pool", according to Paul Steinbrück, head of Pool is Cool and manager of Flow.
"And that can be done without issues, we haven't had any."
Crowdfunding
Flow managers are also pleased with the success of their fundraising campaign which enabled them to fund their project. In total, they raised €61. 671.
"This sum gives us the freedom to develop Flow as a prototype. We want to install a sauna there this year, so that we can be active all year round," stressed the organisers of Pool is Cool, who added that they want to install filters, so they can work without using chemicals.
