Social services centres (CPAS) in the Brussels-Capital Region will go on a 24-hour strike again, as previously announced, from Wednesday to Thursday across the 19 municipalities of the region.
Having held multiple strike actions in October, CPAS workers will be going on strike to denounce excessive workload in light of the ongoing energy crisis, the issue of understaffing, and to call on "structural, anticipatory and sustainable" refinancing of the capital's social services.
To that end, CPAS staff members had originally planned on protesting in front of the Brussels Secretary of State for Equal Opportunities and Housing, Nawal Ben Hamou (PS)'s offices.

However, these plans have since changed and they will now be demonstrating in front of the offices of Brussels' Minister-President Rudi Vervoort (PS) from 09:00 and then the offices of Karine Lalieux (PS), Federal Minister for Social Integration and the Fight against Poverty at 10:00.
