The 2023 edition of the Brussels Jazz Festival will take place in Flagey from 12 to 15 January, the organisers announced on Wednesday.
Belgian trombonist Nabou Claerhout will be in the spotlight during the three-day event, which will showcase young European talent.
Claerhout’s work will be highlighted in three projects for which she has been given carte blanche by the organisers.
In addition to the black-yellow-red artist, festivalgoers will be able to discover or rediscover big names from the British jazz scene such as Kamaal Williams, Emma-Jean Thackray and Alabaster dePlume.
The festival will also have a strong Scandinavian accent thanks to the presence of Linda Fredriksson from Finland, as well as Bendik Giske and Mette Henriette from Norway.
The organisers note that tickets for the concerts are numbered, so people must reserve a ticket for each concert they wish to attend.
