Academy Award-winning actor Russell Crowe has announced that he is currently in Brussels on social media.
In a video clip posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) at 22:40 on Sunday, the actor famed for his performances in LA Confidential, Gladiator and A Beautiful Mind can be seen slowly moving around Brussels' Grand Place.

"And everywhere you look, red and green stripes," the 59-year-old says in the video. "It's like they knew I was coming." Crowe has co-owned the South Sydney Rabbitohs, an Australian rugby league club whose home colours are also red and green, since 2006.
Just a couple of hours earlier, Crowe uploaded a picture of what appear to be two cannons at the famous battle site in Waterloo.

Crowe seems to be enjoying something of a Euro-tour at the moment. On Saturday afternoon, he uploaded a picture of himself standing alone outside the Stade Roland Garros in Paris.
To paraphrase one of Crowe's more memorable movie lines, it seems that he is only too happy for what he does in life to echo in eternity – at least on social media.
