Art lovers in Brussels are in for a treat this month with a free New Year's concert to be hosted at one of Europe's most impressive concert halls: the Henry Le Bœuf Hall at Bozar.

The City of Brussels is joining forces with the 19 Neighbourhood Houses (Maisons de Quartier) to offer a free New Year's concert at the Centre for Fine Arts or Bozar in the Royal Quarter of the capital.

"With this concert, we offer Brussels residents, more specifically our senior citizens, a qualitative moment in an iconic place to celebrate the start of the New Year, as many of them do not usually have access to it," said the Mayor of the City of Brussels, Philippe Close.

The concert will take place on Sunday 14 January at 15:00. On the programme is a classical music concert by the string orchestra "Young Belgian Strings".

The children's choirs "Singing Molenbeek" and "Equinox" will also perform. These two choirs aim to facilitate access to this discipline for children from underprivileged families.

The event is free, but registration is mandatory. This can be done by contacting a Neighbourhood House online, mailing info@lmdq.brussels or calling 02/209.62.70. Find more information here.
