Brussels Police have reinforced their presence and launched an awareness campaign in several northern municipalities during Euro 2024.

Operating under the slogan Keep it cool. Foot is fun!, Brussels North Police (PolBruNo) have upped their presence in Schaerbeek, Evere et Saint-Josse-Ten-Noode, where Euro 2024 matches will be broadcast on big screens in public places. They are also distributing coasters and posters with their chosen slogan in order to mitigate the effects of drinking in public places.

"For a whole month, the Red Devils will be giving their all to reach the final, as will our police officers on the ground to ensure the safety of all supporters and local residents," a local police statement reads.

"Throughout this exciting month, PolBruNo officers will be working with the prevention services of Schaerbeek, Evere and Saint-Josse-Ten-Noode to ensure that this sporting event remains a celebration for all."

There are also reinforced checks on the roads to prevent drink-driving. Police recommend that Euro 2024-goers designate a sober driver as part of the 'BOB' campaign.
