Additional metros, trams and buses will be available for the P!nk concert on 14 July, says Brussels public transport operator STIB.
Over 60,000 people are expected in the capital to enjoy the American singer’s "Summer Carnival" tour at the King Baudouin Stadium. The stadium can be reached via Metro, seven tram lines, and a bus line. Each concert ticket holder is also entitled to a complimentary round-trip ticket on the Brussels transport network.
On Sunday, metro line 2 will extend to Roi Baudouin Station from 17:00 until the end of service, ensuring a Metro train is available every five minutes on lines 2 and 6. Tram line 7 will also have a tram around every seven minutes. Extra metros, trains, and buses are expected to be on reserve to expand the services on metros 2/6 and 1/5, as well as tram 9.
However, the STIB warns that tram 9 will be limited to the Stadium stop, and bus 83 will be diverted between Tircher and Esplanade. Additionally, Roi Baudouin metro station will be closed from 22:30 to guide concert-goers exiting the stadium toward Heysel and Houba Brugmann stations.
Additional staff will be present from Sunday afternoon in the stations around the stadium and at Brussels-Midi station to assist travellers. To set the mood, STIB stations will broadcast P!nk’s music between 15:00 and 19:00, and after 23:00.
