A 15-year-old was severely injured in a stabbing incident at a party in Molenbeek on Saturday night. Two other young people were also hospitalised.
The stabbing occurred at a party on Boulevard Edmond Machtens after 05:00 on Sunday morning. A 15-year-old injured three people with a knife during a fight that moved from an apartment block into the street. The reason for the dispute is unknown.
The victims are 15, 16 and 20 years old, and all three have been hospitalised. The youngest victim was severely injured but is now in stable condition. The perpetrator also sustained a stab wound.
Partygoers are believed to have consumed a mixture of substances including cannabis, laughing gas and alcohol. Since the perpetrator is a minor from Willebroek in Flanders, the case has been referred to the Antwerp branch of the Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
