A baby was critically injured on Friday evening in Anderlecht after falling from the second floor of a building, the Brussels fire brigade has confirmed.
The child, approximately two years old, fell from a window on the second floor of a building on Rue Haberman. The incident occurred shortly after 18:00.
The baby has been hospitalised and is in critical condition. An investigation into the circumstances of the fall has been launched.
"The circumstances have yet to be established, but the baby has been evacuated to l'Hôpital Erasme in a worrying condition," fire brigade spokesperson Walter Derieuw told Sudinfo.
