A tram collision in Brussels killed one woman on Saturday afternoon.
The woman was struck by a tram on Boulevard Barthélémy (near Porte de Ninove in the city centre). The tram was travelling on line 51.
Emergency services arrived to the scene at around 13:00 but the victim died on site, Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police confirmed to Belga News Agency.
The tram driver and two other individuals, who were in shock, were taken to hospital.
An investigation has been launched by the Brussels Public Prosecutor’s Office to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.
