Two people were injured in a stabbing in the Brussels municipality of Ixelles on Friday evening, confirmed the Brussels police on Saturday.
The exact circumstances of the stabbing are still unclear.
"Our services received a report of a stabbing at Avenue Pierre et Marie Curie in Ixelles at around 22:00 on Friday evening," police spokesperson Linda Camarero-Verde confirmed to Belga News Agency. "Upon arrival, officers found two injured people, both with stab wounds. Emergency services also arrived at the scene. Police immediately set up a perimeter. No perpetrator was found on the spot."
The two victims were taken to hospital, but their lives are not in danger. One of them reportedly suffered injuries in the leg.
"The Public Prosecutor's Office was informed and ordered the necessary investigative acts," the police said. "The exact circumstances of the incident are part of the investigation."
