A classical music concert will be organised at the Notre-Dame des Victoires au Sablon on 20 February to fundraise for the first mobile hospital in Ukraine.
Organised by The Brussels International Academy of Music (BR.I.M.A.) with the support of the Ukrainian Embassy in Belgium and the Mission of Ukraine to the EU, the concert is being held to mark the third anniversary of the Russian invasion in 2022.
The charity concert is dedicated to the commemoration of the victims of the war, with all money going to the first mobile hospital in Ukraine.
The PDMSh is a force of hundreds of volunteers who save soldiers’ lives on the frontlines. It was set up after the first Russian invasion of the Donbas in 2014, with over a thousand volunteers having gone through PDMSh since then.
A short film about the hospital will be played during the event, which will also see performances from for over by European classical music, and Ukrainian folk music performed by Camerata Brima and Solists, as well as a choir.
Traditional Ukrainian jewellery made by the local craftswoman, as well as several Ukrainian products will be on sale before and after the performances. A reception will also be organised.
The event begins at 19:30 and ends at 22:30, with tickets priced at €30. Children under the age of 8 are not allowed, organisers say.
