A truck lost its cargo on the Brussels Ring in traffic at the Quatre Bras crossroad Tervueren, causing the tunnel to be closed and leaving traffic towards Waterloo at a standstill.
Queues of over 9 km stretch to Zaventem and neighbouring roads have been impacted, in particular the road towards Mechelen. Delays of around 30 minutes are currently seen on the Brussels Ring.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area where possible.
