Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is reportedly coming to Brussels to address the European Parliament at a special session on Thursday, but EU officials have neither confirmed nor denied the news.
According to insiders, Zelenskyy will reportedly give his speech in the morning and immediately leave the parliament building after, Dutch news agency ANP reports. He could also join the EU summit of the 27 heads of state and government, but that plan has not yet been confirmed for security reasons.
While Zelenskyy has digitally joined several summits with world leaders since Russia invaded his country, this would be the first time he physically joins a conference. It would come a week after the Presidents of the European Commission and Council, Ursula Von der Leyen and Charles Michel respectively, visited Kyiv for the EU-Ukraine summit.

When asked by various outlets on whether Zelenskyy would be returning the favour this week, Charles Michels' spokesperson Barend Leyts stated that the Ukrainian president "had received an open invitation" from the EU "some time ago."
However, a spokesperson for the EU Parliament stated that they could "neither confirm nor deny" the potential visit due to "obvious security reasons."
