Brussels firefighters were called out to various locations across the city on Tuesday due to the poor weather, according to fire brigade spokesperson Walter Derieuw.
Firefighters were alerted to three fallen trees on public roads. Emergency services were also called another three times for flooding in homes and cellars.
The emergency personnel were also notified 20 times of roadways flooded by blocked drains, notably in the Porte de Hal tunnel.
Calls to the Brussels fire brigade stopped by the late evening when the weather finally improved.
"There are no more calls coming in to 1722 and the precipitation radar no longer reports any significant showers for the rest of the night," Derieuw concluded.
