A pedestrian's life is in danger after a motorist committed a hit-and-run at around 06:45 on Monday on Rue du Marché, near the Brussels North Station in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode. Police are looking for the driver.
Police officers from the Brussels-North police zone were called to an accident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on Monday morning on Rue du Marché in Saint-Josse. The pedestrian was severely injured.
"The injured victim has been taken to hospital and their life is currently in danger," said spokesperson for the Brussels-North police Mélanie Massoz, confirming earlier reports by La Capitale.
The motorist committed a hit-and-run. Investigations are ongoing to identify and trace the driver of the vehicle. The exact cause and circumstances of the incident are yet to be determined. The Brussels Public Prosecutor's Office will announce the results of the investigation.
