Investigators are looking for witnesses and camera footage related to the terror attack that claimed the lives of two Swedish nationals in Brussels on 16 October.
The Federal Police published a search notice on Wednesday at the request of the Brussels investigating judge working on the terror attack at Place Sainctelette in Brussels last month.
"In connection with the terrorist attack in Brussels on 16 October 2023, the police are looking for camera images (from mobile phones, dashcams, doorbell cameras or any other image recording) of the terrorist," the police search notice read. The gunman was seen wearing a bright orange jacket and a white helmet on the night of the attack.
The police have also called on people who witnessed the attack or who encountered the terrorist between 16 and 17 October, and who have not yet been questioned, to report themselves to investigators.
At around 19:15 on Monday evening on Place Sainctelette in the centre of Brussels, the gunman Abdesalem Lassoued opened fire first on a taxi and then on the fleeing passengers of that taxi. The passengers fled into the entrance hall of a building, but Lassoued followed them and shot them several times. Two Swedish football supporters lost their lives, while a third was seriously injured.
