The first sex doll "brothel" in Belgium will close its doors, and the dolls are for sale, according to the owner.
"The enthusiasm was over," said Fabrice Jacobs, who owned the brothel in the municipality of Meise, in the Flemish Brabant province, reports Het Nieuwsblad.
In total, he bought eight "advanced" dolls, which varied in height, skin colour, and chest-size. Jacobs initially imported the dolls from the US, but as they cost €2,000 each, he started buying them in China, where they came at a cheaper price.
"I realise now that it's not for me, sitting at home so much, waiting until the client leaves," said Jacobs, who had converted his living room into a brothel about two years ago, reports Het Laatste Nieuws.

They are made out of TPE-silicones so the 'skin' adapts to room temperature and feels life-like. Half an hour with a doll cost €50, €80 for an hour, and €120 for 90 minutes.
Initially, the owner described his brothel as "surprisingly successful", with up to several clients per day, and even a few regulars. However, after the business had been temporarily closed in 2019 for unclear reasons, Jacobs decided to close up shop permanently.
The dolls are now for sale on the brothel's website. Prices range from €850 for a doll with an A-cup to €1,000 for dolls with a D-cup.
